Make Freedom Ring is a loose collective of workers across the arts producing a series of classical musical events to elevate Palestinian voices and draw attention to the crisis in Gaza. It takes its name from bass-baritone and anti-segregation activist Paul Robeson’s famous quote, emphasising the power of music to connect people.
The initiative began in 2024 with parallel concerts in London and Berlin, successfully raising funds for institutions providing humanitarian aid in Gaza. Building on this momentum, additional concerts across Berlin, Manchester, Munich, and Lisbon have collectively raised approximately €40,000 for charities and foundations, including Medical Aid for Palestinians, The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and Medico International.
